Synopsis

 

It has been two years since Motoko Kusanagi left Section 9. As the reorganized Section 9 investigates on the series of suicide incidents of the terrorists, they come across the cases of virus theft as well as child kidnapping, and an ultra-wizard hacker called the Puppeteer. While messed up beyond all recognition, Batou harbors a doubt on the connection between Motoko and the Puppeteer. However, the Puppeteer sets the next target on Togusa. Who is the Puppeteer?
